Flip flops find their origins centuries ago in Egypt. Over time flip flops became most popular in the Far East and Asia. After World War II soldiers brought them home from Asia as souvenirs. Soon a rubber version of the Asian flip flop became popular especially for beach and pool wear.

Some believe the biggest change is that they are widely worn for a variety of activities and occasions. Today flip flops are seen and accepted as a fashion statement almost everywhere. They are worn with any attire; skirts, jeans, slacks and evening attire. And, brides have even worn them under their wedding dresses. The flip flop has lasted for centuries and made it around the world. It is guaranteed that flip flops with all of their bling, jewels, and decorations are here to stay.
